Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 23 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen requested minister of economy Aun Pornmoniroth to work with minister of health Mam Bunheng to consider administering fourth dose of COVID19 vaccine to frontliners.

The premier spoke at the inauguration of new office building General Department of Customs and Excise (GDCE) on Thursday.

The vaccine has helped save lots of lives, so the Royal Government has spent a huge amount of money to purchase the COVID19 vaccine to inoculate her people for free of charge.

"We must consider rolling out fourth dose for our frontliners, which is about 500,000 people, including armed forces, police forces, doctors, teachers as well as the customs officers. We plan to have Pfizer vaccines as the fourth dose,” the premier underlined.

The kingdom has so far administered at least one dose of vaccines to more than 14 million people, or nearly 89 percent of its total population. More than 3 million people have received third dose or booster shot.
