Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 26 – Cambodia received the first batch of Australia-aided Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine on Sunday at the Phnom Penh International Airport.

The handover ceremony was presided over by Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen and Chargé d'Affaires of the Australian Embassy in Cambodia Andreas Zurbrugg.

“Australia began the delivery of 2.35 million doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID19 vaccine to the people of Cambodia. This forms part of Australia's commitment to share up to 60 million COVID19 vaccine doses with the Indo-Pacific region by the end of 2022, with more than 10 million shared to date," according to a media release seen by Fresh News on Sunday.
