Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 26 – Cambodia detected 15 new cases of COVID19 Omicron variant on Sunday, which tallied to 31 cases in total.

The premier spoke at the handover ceremony of the first batch of Australia-aided Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine on Sunday at the Phnom Penh International Airport.

"Today (26 Dec), Cambodia detected 15 new imported Omicron variants, which tallied to 31 cases in total. Among them, three patients recovered,” Samdech underlined.

Premier Hun Sen called on all Cambodians not to panic, but shall adhere to health measure and together to prevent the community transmission of the new variant.

To date, Cambodia has confirmed 120,449 cases of COVID19 with 116,861 recoveries and 3,008 deaths.
