Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 26 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen thanked Australia for providing vaccine assistance to Cambodia.

The premier spoke at the handover ceremony of 2.35 million doses of Australia-aided Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine on Sunday at the Phnom Penh International Airport.

“I am very pleased to have received the Australia-aided vaccine and would like to thank the people and the government of Australia for donating 2.35 million doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine to Cambodia, of which 783,000 doses arrived today and another batch will arrive on 28 December 2021”, the premier underlined.

Samdech added that vaccine donation is a wonderful gesture from the people and the government of Australia to the kingdom, as well as a good gesture for humanity as a whole.
