Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 26 – Fresh News officially launched the Fresh News Training Center (FTC) on 25 December 2021 for human resource development in the field of information.

The launching was presided over by Fresh News founder and CEO Lim Chea Vutha and president of the FTC Mar Yarith, with the participation of management team, staff and distinguished guests.

FTC was established in September 2021 under the initiative of CEO Lim Chea Vutha to share knowledge and experience in information, as well as to train the next generation in the field of information.

Speaking on the occasion, CEO said that the launch of the FTC is another success of Fresh News after receiving continuous support from the public for more than seven years. He hopes that this center will be a good choice for young people, civil servants and the public who want to explore and learn about journalistic skills offered right here in Cambodia.

The FTC will cover techniques to write and develop Spot News, News Feature, Feature Story, Press Release, Live Report, Opinion and Editorial articles, as well as skills for news presenters and talk shows.

FTC president Mar Yarith expressed his pleasure to contribute to Fresh News in training human resources in the field of journalism.

Mar Yarith is a local veteran journalist, who has been working in the field of journalism for over 30 years. He has worked for various well-known foreign news agencies such as UPI, AP and VOA. Yarith was also the founder and co-founder to several media outlets in Cambodia. Back then, he was the only Cambodian student majoring in journalism at the University of Michigan and the University of Maryland in the United States.
