Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 31 – Two bombs exploded near Cambodian Embassy in Myanmar on Friday but did not cause any injuries, according to spokesman for Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Koy Kuong.

The bombing took place 100 meters and 150 meters away from the Cambodian embassy in Yangon, he added.

The spokesman continued that, “these bombs were loud but did not cause any injuries. Myanmar's security forces have now increased vigilance and protection regarding security and safety of Cambodian diplomats.”

It is worth noting that Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen will pay an official visit to Myanmar on 7 January 2021 at the invitation of Myanmar’s leader Min Aung Hlaing.
