Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 8 – During a recent official visit to Myanmar, Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen shared Cambodia’s win-win policy success in achieving national reconciliation, absolute peace, stability, development and prosperity.

The premier also stressed that based on the experience and lessons learned from Cambodia’s peace process, complete peace and national reconciliation cannot be achieved without participations and agreement from all parties involved.

"Full peace and national unity is impossible without the participation, support and consensus of all parties," Cambodian foreign minister Prak Sokhonn spoke at the press conference on Saturday at the Phnom Penh International Airport.

During the visit, prime minister Hun Sen and senior general Min Aung Hlaing discussed and exchanged views on bilateral and multilateral cooperation and the recent developments in ASEAN.

Premier Hun Sen's win-win policy comprises of three key components: ensuring everyone with the right to live; ensuring everyone with jobs and careers for decent livings; and ensuring the protections of all their assets.

The win-win policy dismantled the political and military organisations of the Khmer Rouge. Wars and armed conflicts were completely ended in 1998. Since then, Cambodia has enjoyed absolute peace, political stability, security and social order, paving ways for socio-economic development.
