Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 10 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen decided to transfer Cambodia's ASEAN-funded COVID19 vaccines to Myanmar, which worth approximately USD 1 million, speaking at the inauguration ceremony of National Road No. 5 improvement project on Monday.

“The people of Myanmar need to be saved from gunshot, violence, hunger and illness. I also told Myanmar’s senior general Min Aung Hlaing that I would like to transfer Cambodia’s ASEAN-funded COVID19 vaccines to Myanmar. Cambodia is a poor country with big heart,” the premier underlined.

The Royal Government of Cambodia already provided humanitarian aids to the Government of Myanmar for three times since 2020. Cambodia, on 7 January 2022 donated over 3.2 million face masks and medical equipment to Myanmar.
