Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 20 – Cambodian Ministry of Interior has issued a notice to ban Genser Jared Matthew from entering Cambodia permanently.

Spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior general Khieu Sopheak told Fresh News on Thursday.

“Apart from violating Cambodian jurisdiction with the purpose to threaten the independence of the Cambodian judiciary, an American person named Jared Matthew Genser violated the Immigration Law by using a visa for a different purpose,” Sopheak added.

After arriving in Cambodia, Genser Jared presented himself as an international lawyer, attending the trial and giving a press conference in front of the Phnom Penh Municipal Court.

Genser Jared arrived in Cambodia on 5 December 2021 on a tourist visa provided by the Cambodian Embassy in the United States and left Cambodia on 9 December 2021 at 21:58 on flight 0Z740 to Seoul, Republic of Korea.
