Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 26 – On 26 January 2022, Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen had a videoconference with Myanmar's senior general Min Aung Hlaing as a follow-up to the visit of Cambodian premier to Myanmar, on 7-8 January 2022.

"Premier Hun Sen and senior general Min Aung Hlaing discussed extensively on developments in ASEAN following the recent visit of premier Hun Sen to Naypyidaw, and on how to further advance the implementation of the Five-Point Consensus of ASEAN based on the provisions of the ASEAN Charter. They shared the view on the need to make more efforts to improve the situation in Myanmar,” according to the outcomes seen by Fresh News on Wednesday.

“Senior general Min Aung Hlaing reassured premier Hun Sen that Myanmar is committed to work with Cambodia as the ASEAN chair to ensure a successful year. The two leaders agreed to continue engaging in candid discussions on matters of mutual interests."
