Phnom Penh (FN), Feb. 22 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen appealed to all pharmacies not to increase the price of COVID19 drug treatment, speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Japan-aided sewage treatment plant in Phnom Penh on Tuesday (22 Feb).

“I would like to call on all pharmacies not to increase the price and called on the health department to check the quality of the medicine as the number of fake and substandard medicine are alarming,” the premier underlined.

Cambodian Health Ministry has authorized the emergency use of antiviral pills Molnupiravir for COVID19 treatment. Molnupiravir is now available for purchase at the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, provincial post offices, and all licensed pharmacies in the kingdom.
