Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 7 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen said the kingdom has tried 40 years to seek and maintain peace, speaking in an inauguration ceremony of Cambodia-China Friendship Tbong Khmum Hospital on Monday.

According to the premier, through his observation, many Cambodian people are interested on Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s statement saying that “I want peace, and I want peace in my country.”

"I don't want Ukraine's history to be a legend about 300 Spartans… I want peace, and I want peace in my country," Zelensky said during a press conference, which was translated for a broadcast, according to foreign medias.

Human rights and democracy come after peace, premier Hun Sen said.

“Cambodia sets peace as her priority over the last 40 years to ensure the rights to life. Without peace, no need to mention freedom of expression, democracy, and human rights."

The Royal Government of Cambodia firmly opposed wars and will not let a small of group of people to destroy the kingdom’s peace.
