Prey Veng (FN), Mar. 17 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen reiterated that Cambodia does not support volunteering of her people to fight in the Russia-Ukraine war, speaking in the inauguration ceremony of SOS children’s village in Prey Veng on Thursday.

“I would like to reiterate that Cambodia is willing to accept Ukrainians refugees, but I do not allow Cambodian citizens to serve as volunteer soldiers to fight in the Russia-Ukraine war,” the premier underlined.

“Volunteering to fight in Russia-Ukraine war is like pouring gasoline on fire,” said the premier, adding that he will not allow Cambodians to die on Ukraine territory.

The Russia-Ukraine war has been prolonged for three weeks, while the fourth round of the negotiation was held on 14 March 2022.
