Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 17 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen expressed his satisfaction over the cooperation and partnership between the Royal Government of Cambodia and the Asia Foundation for the past 40 years, which has significantly contributed to the kingdom’s economic development.

The premier’s remark was made during a courtesy call by president and CEO of the Asia Foundation David D. Arnold at the Peace Palace on Thursday.

Samdech encouraged the foundation to further promote cooperation and partnership to contribute to the economic development, especially the pre- and post-COVID19 comprehensive recovery.

According to premier Hun Sen’s personal secretary Eang Sophalleth, the premier and David discussed the progress and achievements of the Asia Foundation.

David also briefed Samdech on the current activities of the organization in Cambodia, focusing on technology to promote women and youth, strengthening good governance, promoting international cooperation, building environmental resilience that contributes to the harmonious development of the kingdom.

David also thanked the premier and the Royal Government of Cambodia for offering cohesive cooperation and partnership with the organization.

On that occasion, premier Hun Sen praised the partnership and thanked the Asia Foundation for its mission in Cambodia.

The Asia Foundation is an international non-profit organization and has been operating in Cambodia for more than 40 years.
