Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 24 – Huawei Asia-Pacific president Lin Baifeng requested to participate in the kingdom’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) development by bringing the latest technologies and to promote ICT and people-to-people connectivity in the kingdom.

The Huawei Asia-Pacific president spoke during a courtesy call on Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen on Thursday (24 Mar) at the Peace Palace.

Lin Baifeng expressed his gratitude to the premier for supporting his company in the past 23 years and allowing the firm to contribute in developing ICT as well as assisting Cambodian in the fight against COVID19.

He added, digital economy in Cambodia has grown significantly, as ICT has been promoted nationwide.

On that occasion, Lin Bai Feng also handed over the donation of technological equipment such as 100 Idea Hub (big screen VC equipment) and 500 desktop computers to Cambodia.

In response, premier Hun Sen thanked Lin Baifeng for the donations. Samdech welcomed and encouraged Li Baifeng to continue working with Cambodian post minister Chea Vandeth to further provide training for the kingdom’s human resources and to ensure that Cambodia has access to the latest technology for the sake of nation security and sovereignty.
