Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 25 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen said that he is destined to become a prime minister, speaking in an inauguration of the official use of National Road No. 51 on Friday in Kampong Speu province.

Japanese prime minister Kishida Fumio also shared the same belief, Samdech added.

“I was a little surprised when Japanese prime minister also believed in fate. He [Japanese prime minister] told me during his recent visit to Cambodia that we were destined to become prime ministers,” the premier underlined.

Samdech added, some people want to be prime minister, but they cannot, and for me, I wished to be a teacher or a pilot, but the destiny guides me to become a prime minister.

Premier Hun Sen also recalled Cambodian late father king Norodom Sihanouk's remarks in front of political parties saying that he also believed in fate that made him a king.

The premier was appointed as deputy prime minister and foreign minister at the age of 27, and later elected to become the prime minister at the age of 32.
