Siem Reap (FN), Apr. 3 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen reiterated that Cambodia does not need foreign troops in the kingdom, but an influx of foreign tourists, speaking during an inspection of the new Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport on Sunday (Apr 3).

"Cambodia will never ever allow foreign troops on her territory, which is a breach of the kingdom’s constitution. Why does Cambodia need Chinese troops here? We do not need troops, but tourists," the premier underlined.

Samdech continued, the Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport welcomes all planes wishing to land on tourism purpose.

During recent curtesy calls by Australian ambassador to Cambodia Pablo Kang and Australian military attaché, premier Hun Sen also reaffirmed Cambodia’s stand against any set up of foreign troops in the kingdom.
