Siem Reap (FN), Apr. 4 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen clarified to Siem Reap residences the reason of not pouring concrete for the riverbank.

Speaking at the inauguration for the official use of 38 roads in Siem Reap on Monday (Apr 4), the premier said "it does not cost much money for pouring a concrete on Siem Reap Riverbank as we did for the Mekong River and Tonle Sap. However, Siem Reap Riverbank is part of the heritage site and needs to adhere to UNESCO guidelines."

Samdech expressed his pride to see near 100 boats from Chong Khneas community to serve tourist and leisure activities, which create jobs for local people. He also thanked ICC-Angkor for helping Cambodia conserves Siem Reap and Angkor Wat’s World Heritage.
