Siem Reap (FN), Apr. 4 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen considered to take down mandatory face mask policy in some provinces, speaking in the inauguration for the official use of 38 roads in Siem Reap on Monday (Apr 4).

“I was thinking no-mask mandate in one or two provinces in any appropriate time due to high cost of face mask,” the premier underlined.

Samdech continued that if the measure is implemented in one province, the residences in that province can freely travel without wearing mask. However, if they intend to travel to another province, wearing a mask is still compulsory.

The premier added that some countries already implement the no-mask mandate amid surge of COVID19 cases.

Today (Apr 4), Cambodia reports 35 new case of COVID19, mainly found in Phnom Penh.
