Sihanoukville (FN), Apr. 16 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen recalled his painful story when he became blind 47 years ago, speaking the coronation ceremony of "Preah Thong Neang Neak" Statue in Sihanoukville Province on Saturday (16 Apr).

"47 years ago, on 16 April 1975, was the day I turned blind. I fainted and was unconscious," the premier underlined.

About 40 years ago, premier injured his eye and turned blind from the kingdom’s civil war. In this regard, the premier does not want young people and children to suffer like he did, and that is why he dares to sacrifice life to bring peace to the kingdom.
