Phnom Penh (FN), Apr. 27 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen urged to further enhance cooperation on all sectors between Cambodia and Viet Nam.

The premier spoke during a courtesy call by Ding Tien Dung, a member of Politburo of the Communist Party of Viet Nam and secretary of the Party Committee of Hanoi on Wednesday (27 Apr) at the Peace Palace, Phnom Penh.

According to the premier’s personal secretary Eang Sophalleth, Ding Tien Dung lauded Cambodia’s effective control on COVID19. He briefed the COVID19 situation in Viet Nam, the economic activities and development strategy of Hanoi. He also pledged to strengthen and expand Phnom Penh-Hanoi relations and cooperation by implementing all statements and agreements set out by the top leaders.

In response, premier Hun Sen expressed his pleasure at the development progress of Cambodia-Vietnam relations and cooperation.

Samdech Hun Sen mentioned the growth of Cambodia-Vietnam trade volume which exceeded the target of USD 5 billion. He also urged to pay more attention to economic and trade cooperation as well as advised to further transform former battlefields into a development zone, special economic zone and commercial zone.
