Phnom Penh (FN), May 12 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen said that he did not accuse the United States of assisting former opposition leader Kem Sokha to topple the legitimate Royal Government of Cambodia, but Kem Sokha said it by himself in the video submitted to court.

The premier spoke during a meeting with Cambodians living in the United States and Canada on Thursday (May 12).

"I did not accuse the US. Kem Sokha said that by himself, so there is a need for a clarification between the US and Kem Sokha. Does the US deny what Kem Sokha said? [...] I would like to inform that both the court and the government did not accuse the US of assisting Kem Sokha. Kem Sokha was the one who said he was helped by the US. Therefore, this is an affair between the US and Kem Sokha, not between the US and Cambodia,” the premier underlined.
