Phnom Penh (FN), May 17 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen said that Cambodia has so far received more than 52 million doses of vaccines through donations and purchases, with more than 42 million doses used and nearly 10 million left in stock, speaking in a meeting with Samdech Techo Voluntary Youth Doctor Association (TYDA) on Tuesday (17 May).

The Royal Government of Cambodia has spent  28.5 million doses on the vaccine purchases, while an additional 20 million doses have yet arrived, the premier added.

"Although Cambodia is considered a low income country, the kingdom does not allow her people to die and the government is willing to spend to protect her people."

Over 20 million doses of vaccine have not been delivered to the kingdom, of which 15 million doses from China and 7.5 million from the United States.
