Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 3 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen expressed his appreciation and gratitude to all Commune / Sangkat councilors of the fourth mandate for their great service despite the challenges posed by the COVID19 outbreak and natural disasters.

The premier spoke in a special voice message on Friday (3 Jun).

During the COVID19 crisis, the councilors have served and protected the people well, and have widely distributed vaccine for community herd against COVID19, the premier underlined.

“When natural disasters occurred, the councilors have made great efforts to serve the people, including the distribution of food and other assistance,” the premier added.

"I would like to thank all the councilors who have done a good job in the past and I still trust the commune councilors who have not yet been given the mandate to look after the people during the upcoming election,” the premier underlined.

Samdech continued, with the participation and responsibility of the communal councilors across the country, Cambodia has seen the reduced number of COVID19 deaths and infections.
