Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 9 – President of the Football Federation of Cambodia Sao Sokha said that the Indian ambassador to Cambodia Devyani Khobragade had called to apologize for the issues related to the Cambodian national anthem and accommodation arrangements for Cambodian players.

General Sao Sokha told Fresh News on Thursday (Jun 9).

Sao Sokha quoted the ambassador as saying, "I have received information that Cambodia is disappointed by the Indian Football Federation for not arranging the accommodation of Cambodian players as well as the technical issue when playing the Cambodian national anthem, and I would like to apologize for the mistakes.”

General Sao Sokha added that after the apology, the Indian Ambassador also requested a coffee talk with the Cambodian national football team after they returned home.
