Phnom Penh (FN), Jun 13 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen said that the Royal Government’s preventive measure to fight against COVID19 over the past two years aimed to ensure happiness of the citizens.

The premier spoke at the graduation ceremony of the students from the Royal School of Administration on Monday (Jun 13).

The measures include putting the capital on lockdown, running vaccination campaign, and providing financial support for more than three million people.

So far, Cambodia has won the battles of COVID19 Alpha and Omicron variants, but not yet won the COVID19 war.

The premier continued that Cambodia has adopted a non-discrimination COVID19 vaccination campaign. Regardless of a person's political affiliation and religious belief, everyone receives the vaccines with free of charge.

As of 12 June 2022, Cambodia has confirmed 136,262 cases of COVID19 with 133,206 recoveries and 3,056 deaths. More than 94 per cent of the total population received the base shots of COVID19.
