Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 22 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen voiced support on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the exchange training between Cambodia's Bokator and Indonesia's Pencak Silat martial arts.

The premier spoke during a courtesy call by Indonesian defense minister Prabowo Subianto on Wednesday (Jun 22) at the Peace Palace.

According to the premier's personal secretary Eang Sophalleth, during the meeting, Indonesian defense minister informed and requested the premier for approval on the signing of the MoU on the exchange training between Cambodian and Indonesian martial arts.

On the occasion, Prabowo briefed about the meeting outcomes with Chap Pheakdey, commander of Special Forces Paratrooper Brigade 911. He decided to offer scholarships to Cambodian military students to enroll at the Indonesian National Defense School in the fields of medicine, engineering and mathematics and science.

In response, premier Hun Sen supported the signing of the MoU and thanked Indonesia for offering scholarships, which is considered a good cultural exchange between the two countries.
