Phnom Penh (FN), Jun. 24 – Cambodian People’s Party has won 9,376 communal councilor seats out of the 11,622 seats in the 5th mandate communal election, which took place on 5 June 2022, according to press release of the National Election Committee (NEC) seen by Fresh News on Friday (Jun 24).

The Candlelight Party got 2,198 seats while seven other political parties also got some seats.

NEC said 7.3 million people went to vote, an equivalent to 80.19 per cent of the registered voters.
