Phnom Penh (FN), Aug. 17 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen hoped that the Russia-Ukraine war will end soon as surging global oil price and inflation hit global economy, speaking at the graduation ceremony on Wednesday (Aug 17) at OCIC.

“Hopefully, the Russia-Ukraine war will end soon through negotiations. Currently, the compromise has reached that led to the export of grains from Ukrainian port to other countries, which has contributed to addressing food insecurity” the premier underlined.

“On food shortages, ASEAN nations do not suffer, for we can produce abundances of rice. However, oil crisis is a big concern for our region,” the premier continued.

The Russia-Ukraine war has prolonged for more than five months. Russia controlled almost all of Donbass area in eastern Ukraine. Recently, Ukraine called for new sanctions to impose against Russia.
