Phnom Penh (FN), Aug. 23 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen, as head of the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP), said that Cambodia could fall into war if the opposition party came to power, speaking at the graduation ceremony held on Tuesday (Aug 23) at OCIC.

Premier Hun Sen’s remarks were made in response to the oppositions’ announced policies to confiscate properties from the rich and give to the poor; help pay off debts; reclaim long-lost territory; and other provocative policies.

“I think the war will break out if the CPP does not rule. I dare to say due to two main factors: the use of the opposition’s policy to confiscate property from the rich to the poor, and the process to reclaim the lost territory. In this way, war will surely break out between Cambodia and Viet Nam and Cambodia and Thailand,” the premier underlined.
