Phnom Penh (FN), Aug. 31 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen named the two new flyovers as Monivong Flyover and Kong Sam Ol Flyover, speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony of two new flyovers on Wednesday (Aug 31) in Phnom Penh.

The Monivong flyover located at the intersection of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen Blvd., Monivong Blvd. and Royal Cambodian Armed Forces Blvd (Street 271); and Kong Sam Ol flyover located at the Century Plaza traffic light at the intersection of Russian Federation Boulevard, Street 2004 and Street 2011.

To date, Cambodia has six flyovers namely Kbal Thnal Flyover; 7 Makara Flyover; Stung Meanchey Flyover; 5 Makara Flyover; Psar Dey Hoi Flyover; and Chom Chao Flyover.

The premier reaffirmed that the infrastructure development in Phnom Penh was achieved through land leasing from private sector following the principle of “Palm Leaf Wraps Palm Sugar”.
