Siem Reap (FN), Sep. 13 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen announced that the residents who voluntarily relocated from the Angkor area is going to receive long-term support such as materials, budget, food and poor-household cards.

The premier spoke during a meeting with residents who voluntarily relocated from the Angkor area, held on Tuesday morning (Sep 13) in Siem Reap province.

“I would like to clarify that the citizens who are living in this zone for ten years shall receive this support policy. Although their livelihoods are upgrading, they will still receive the benefits from poor-household cards and pregnant women cards,” the premier underlined.

On this occasion, Samdech also granted each household a number of various housing essentials.

Additionally, Samdech ordered the responsible ministries and institutions to build infrastructure, roads, markets, schools, hospitals, clean water supply, electricity, telephone network, and internet, plant fruit trees and called on banks and microfinance institutions to offer low interest rate loans.
