Phnom Penh (FN), Sep. 29 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen advised all relevant authorities to find the masterminds of illegal gambling and urged citizens to stop gambling, speaking at the 6th National Interfaith Forum Against Human Trafficking on Thursday morning (Sep 29).
“The specific target of our campaign is to find the mastermind of the illegal gambling and the authorities shall pay high attention on this issue,” the premier underscored.
The premier also asked the citizens to stop involving the gambling, for it destroys individual’s finance and households’ livelihood. The citizens should use the money to educate their children, buy books or improve their welfares.
According to the report, more than 2,000 gambling locations in Phnom Penh and Kandal Province were shut down this week.
