Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 3 – Cambodia earns approximately USD 250 million monthly from tax revenue.

In the period of nine months of 2022, the General Department of Taxation has achieved 95 percent of the target, which is set for nearly USD 3 billion.

The premier spoke in the graduation ceremony of nearly 4,000 students of Vanda Institute, held on Monday (Oct 3) at OCIC, Phnom Penh’s Chroy Chongvar district.

"Normally, in developed countries, customs duties are declining, while tax revenues are increasing. Customs duties shall decrease as the kingdom is adopting the framework of ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA) and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP). Additionally, Cambodia have implemented FTA with China and South Korea,” the premier said.
