Australia (FN), Oct. 5 – Cambodian army commander lieutenant general Hun Manet held a meeting with his Australian counterpart lieutenant general Simon Andrew Stuart.

The meeting was held on Tuesday (Oct 4) during Manet's working visit to Australia and on the sideline of Land Forces International Land Defence Exposition in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

Hun Manet thanked the government and the people of Australia for their assistances, in particular during the peace seeking and national reconstruction process.
Manet proposed an initiative to further enhance Cambodia-Australia infantry relations.

For his part, Simon said that the two sides shall study the possibility of cooperation on Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) in the near future.

Lastly, Simon praised the kingdom's effective control on COVID19.
