Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 7 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen expressed his deepest regret and condolences to the Royal Government of Thailand and the victim's families in a mass shooting at a children's day-care centre in Thailand.

The premier spoke in a courtesy call from Thai minister of higher education, science, research and innovation Anek Laothamatas, held on Friday morning (Oct 7) at the Peace Palace.

On 6 October 2022, a former policeman killed 34 people in a mass shooting at a children's day-care centre in Thailand, with media reporting the gunman later shot and killed himself. The victims included 23 children and adults, Thai police said in a statement.
