Phnom Penh (FN), Oct. 17 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen called on bank and microfinance institutions (MFIs) to understand, pardon, and assist flood victims.

The premier spoke at the graduation ceremony of over 6,000 students of National University of Management (NUM), held on Monday (Oct 17) at OCIC, Phnom Penh’s Chroy Chongvar district.

“The banks and MFIs shall consider postponing the deadlines for loan repayments, decreasing the interest rates, and preparing new loans for the farmers affected by the floods,” the premier said.
