Kandal (FN), Oct. 20 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen, head of the Cambodian People's Party, said that the exiled traitor Sam Rainsy had made two major political mistakes, speaking at a press conference on Thursday (Oct 20) at Takhmau city, Kandal Province.

“I think this traitor [Rainsy] had made two major mistakes. I should point out to him. The first mistake was gathering people to flee abroad when CNRP was dissolved by court, therefore the party broke unity, [...] and the second mistake was withdrawing their people from the National Election Committee (NEC),” the premier underlined.

Samdech Hun Sen added that the collective fleeing of ex-CNRP leaders for fears of law enforcement was a strategic mistake, which led to the weakening of court-dissolved CNRP political forces.

Premier Hun Sen also recalled Sam Rainsy’s “sleep at home” campaign – appealing to citizens not to go to vote – a suicide mission that slowly murdered Rainsy’s political life.

Samdech continued that withdrawing CNRP people from the NEC was a stupid move. The premier explained NEC does not belong to any party. The NEC chairman and all the leaders of NEC are not members of any political parties.

Premier Hun Sen said Rainsy does not deserve to be the leader of the opposition party and urged Rainsy to continue to be stupid. He called on former opposition supporters to analyze the weak leadership of Sam Rainsy, who lacks political strategies.
