Kandal (FN), Oct. 20 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen announced a movement to eradicate the extremist political ideology of three-generation traitor Sam Rainsy and pledged zero tolerances against the latter.

The premier spoke during a press conference on Thursday (Oct 20) at Takhmau city, Kandal Province.

Answering the question from Fresh News on whether Hun Sen will pardon Sam Rainsy again, the premier said "zero chance" this time.

“I already pardoned the traitor twice, yet he continues to destroy Cambodia. From now on, he will no longer be tolerated. I also initiate a movement to eradicate the extremist political ideology of three-generation traitor [Sam Rainsy].”

"Cambodia shall get rid of the extremist ideology in order to ensure long-lasting peace and stability,” the premier underscored.

“As I mentioned, if I sign amnesty again, I will cut my hand off,” the premier added.

On 17 October 2022, Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen warned that any political parties who involved in Sam Rainsy’s plan to overthrow Cambodian government in 2023 will face lawsuits.

On 16 October 2022, Rainsy, who is living in exile in France, once again announced a plan to overthrow the Cambodian government in 2023 during the kingdom’s national elections. On his Facebook page, Rainsy appealed to Cambodian people and the armed forces to change leader next year.
