Siem Reap (FN), Oct. 21 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen considered that the residents are making a smart decision for voluntarily relocating from the Angkor area.

The premier spoke during a meeting with residents who voluntarily relocated from the Angkor area to Run Ta Ek Natural village, held on Friday (Oct 21) in Siem Reap province.

“Our citizens who are willing to leave Angkor area in order to settle down in this place made the right decision. We provide full support on infrastructure, social protection and other sectors,” the premier underscored.

“We can not breach the UNESCO principles; otherwise, our Angkor area will be removed from the UNESCO’s World Heritage List,” the premier added.
