Banteay Meanchey (FN), Oct. 23 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen recalled that what Cambodia wanted from Paris Peace Agreement was to end the civil war, yet UNTAC could not achieve.

The premier spoke during a meeting with flood victims in Banteay Meanchey on Sunday morning (Oct 23).

"UNTAC could not achieve the objective of Paris Peace Agreement despite spending USD 2 billion. Cambodia was left with two governments, including the elected government and the Khmer Rouge government," the premier underscored.

The civil war in the kingdom ended in 1998 thanks to the premier's win-win policy.
