Banteay Meanchey (FN), Oct. 23 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen thanked international community for facilitating Peace Paris Agreement in 23 October 1991.

The premier spoke in a meeting with flood victims in Banteay Meanchey on Sunday morning (Oct 23).

"Talking about the Paris Peace Agreement, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the countries, including the United Nations, for their contributions. In particular, in remembrance of our late king father [Norodom Sihanouk]. The first talk [Sihanouk-Hun Sen Negotiation] was held at Fère-en-Tardenois on 2 December 1987, which paved way for national reconciliation," the premier underscored.

"Negotiations gradually expanded until the first and second Jakarta informal meetings, followed by the Paris Conference 1989," the premier added.
