Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 11 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen and South Korean president Yoon Suk Yeol were optimistic that the Free Trade Agreement that will enter into force early next month after the ratification by the Republic of Korea will increase significantly the volume of the bilateral trade.

"Both leaders hailed the economic cooperation and the increasing trade exchange between the two countries and were optimistic that the Free Trade Agreement that will enter into force early next month after the ratification by the Republic of Korea will increase significantly the volume of the bilateral trade," according to outcomes seen by Fresh News on Friday (Nov 11).

President Yoon was optimistic that the Double Taxation Agreement, which was effective to be applied since January 2022, will boost more Korean investment to Cambodia.

The two leaders noted with delight the increasing ROK's investment, making the country to stand 2nd among the major investment partners of Cambodia.

Premier Hun Sen called on president Yoon to encourage more Korean investment to Cambodia. President Yoon emphasized his government's support to the strengthening of bilateral cooperation with Cambodia, particularly on economic development.
