Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 14 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen and Bruneian king Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah welcomed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Youth Cooperation and the MoU on Culture and Fine Arts Cooperation.

"The two leaders welcomed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on Youth Cooperation and the Memorandum of Understanding on Culture and Fine Arts Cooperation on 11 August 2021, via video conference, and agreed to effectively implement the signed documents," according to the joint statement seen by Fresh News on Monday (Nov 14).

The virtual signing ceremony was held between Cambodian minister of culture and fine arts Phoeurng Sackona and minister of culture, youth and sports of Brunei major general Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin.

The MoUs will strengthen cultural relations and promote cultural exchanges between the two nations. It also aims to promote cultural cooperation based on the principles of equality and mutual benefit.
