Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 15 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen tested positive of COVID19 ahead of G20 Summit.

The premier wrote on his Facebook page on Tuesday morning (Nov 15).

“Dear compatriots. Now I tested positive of COVID19. For the safety of the delegates attending the [G20 meeting], I decided to allow the Cambodian delegation to return home. We are negotiating to have Indonesia as the representative of the ASEAN,” the premier added.

Samdech continued, “I miss the meetings with Chinese president and French president, which are scheduled in Bangkok, Thailand during the APEC summit. My current health condition is normal and I plan to return to Cambodia this evening [Nov 15].”

Premier Hun Sen and a high-level delegation arrived Bali, Indonesia on Monday evening (Nov 14) for the G20 Summit, to be held on 15-16 November 2022.
