Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 22 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen reaffirmed that his bilateral meeting with US president Joe Biden during sideline of the 2022 ASEAN Summits did not discuss Seng Theary or Cambodian democracy issues.

The premier spoke at the closing ceremony of the 30th Anniversary Conference of Humanitarian Mine Action in Cambodia, held on Tuesday morning (Nov 22) in Phnom Penh.

The premier said, "every bilateral meeting has a minute report and we did not see any issues related to Seng Theary or Cambodian democracy raised by president Biden as alleged by baseless analysts."

For the bilateral talk with the United Nations secretary-general António Guterres, some analysts claimed that the UN secretary-general gave comments on the Cambodian democratic process. However, it was not true, according to premier Hun Sen.
