Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 23 – On Thursday (Nov 23), the Economic Daily, the Mekong Centre for Strategic Studies (MCSS) of the Asian Vision Institute (AVI), and China Economic Net, co-organised “the 2nd China-Cambodia Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum” via videoconference. More than 50 participants from China’s institutions, Cambodia’s Senate and National Assembly, Cambodian government ministries, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Phnom Penh, NGOs, INGOs, Cambodia and China’s think tanks, Cambodia and China’s academic institutions, observers in Cambodia, scholars, experts and students in China and Cambodia attended the forum.

"During the event, the discussants pointed out major challenges that could hinder the above initiatives and their bilateral cooperation. In response to these hindrances, the Forum outlined some priorities to enhance the cooperation between Cambodia and China in various areas including Cambodia’s new initiative of ASEAN Green Deal to strengthen and advance the “Cambodia-China Community of Shared Future”," according to joint press release seen by Fresh News on Thursday (Nov 24).
