Phnom Penh (FN), Nov. 29 – After the successful launch of the Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway and the announcement to break ground for the second Phnom Penh-Bavet Expressway in the mid of 2023, Cambodian public works and transport minister Sun Chanthol said that four companies are conducting feasibility studies for another expressway from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap.

Sun Chanthol spoke at the inauguration ceremony of an electric vehicle charging station and handover ceremony of the electric vehicles at the Ministry’s office, held Tuesday morning (Nov 29).

"Apart from the Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway, four companies are conducting feasibility studies for a Phnom Penh-Siem Reap Expressway. In the future we will have a Phnom Penh-Siem Reap Expressway,” Sun Chanthol underscored.

Chanthol added that the success of the Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway and many other infrastructure projects are due to the wise leadership of Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen.
