Phnom Penh (FN), Jan. 13 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen decided to handover the residence of Candlelight Party supreme advisor Kong Korm to the National Election Committee (NEC).

This decision was made at the weekly plenary session, held on Friday morning (Jan 13) at the Peace Palace.

Government’s spokesperson Phay Siphan confirmed to Fresh News that premier Hun Sen made this decision at the cabinet meeting. The reason why the premier decided to handover this title deed to the NEC is that NEC does not have their permanent address yet.

On 12 January 2023, Kong Korm decided to return his current residence to the Royal Government at the request of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cambodia after he acknowledged it does not belong to him.
