Phnom Penh (FN), Mar. 1 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen called on people to celebrate Angkor Sankranta in Siem Reap province during the traditional Khmer New Year, which will be held for four days from 13-16 April 2023.

The premier spoke during a graduation of nearly 5,000 students of the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC), held on Wednesday morning (Mar 1).

Samdech added that he will also be there to preside over the opening ceremony of the event.

According to president of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia (UYFC) Hun Many, the Angkor Sankranta celebration aims to bring together young people and the public on the occasion of the traditional Khmer New Year, while bringing to life the intangible heritage of Cambodia.
